1. General information
This subject is part of the subject "Methods and tools in information and communication". Its purpose is to provide a description and analysis of the main technologies used in digital information and communication. Objectives: to identify the main technological tools currently used in corporate information and communication management; to propose the most appropriate technology to support a specific corporate information and communication system.
These goals are considered to contribute to some extent to the achievement of the SDGs in a cross-cutting manner, and most directly to Goal 9 (Build Resilient Infrastructure, Promote Inclusive and Sustainable Industrialization, and Foster Innovation).
2. Learning results
1- To select the most appropriate technologies for digital information and communication management processes.
2- To acquire new knowledge that will enable the students to generate new ideas and solutions for problems related to the management and implementation of document management and strategic communication system projects.
3. Syllabus
1- Description, search and visualization of information.
2- Advanced management tools for content (CMS), resources (ERP) and customers (CRM).
3- Data and text mining.
4- Advanced tools for graphic, multimedia design and audiovisual production.
5- Preservation and digital continuity.
4. Academic activities
Theoretical classes; practical classes; personal work and study; tests or assessment activities. More information on this issue will be provided on the first day of class.
5. Assessment system
First call:
- Written exercise on the contents. This exercise will be written in person and according to the official calendar of exams. Assessment criteria: adequacy and relevance of the answers, thoroughness in the development, ability to analyse and summarise, precision in the use of terminology and expository clarity. A minimum grade of 4.0 points is required to pass the subject. Value: 40% of the final grade.
- Delivery of an academic work consisting of a portfolio with exercises on the contents. Assessment criteria: quality of the contents, correct use of the tools, variety and adequacy of the information resources used, organization and presentation, precision in the use of terminology and expository clarity. A minimum individual grade of 4.0 points is required to pass the subject. The work will be delivered through the digital teaching platform, and the deadline is the same as for the written exam. Value: 60% of the final grade.
Second call:
Identical to the global assessment test of the first call. The grades obtained in the first call in either of the two tests will be saved, unless the student chooses to take the corresponding test in the second call. In this case, the new grade will prevail.
